The Department of Marathi was established in 1991 in the Sharadchandraji Pawar College. The Marathi is being taught in the since its inception at special and general level. Department is actively involved in promoting Marathi Language and Literature by giving emphasis on teaching and research. It is functioning as full-fledged department with the facility for the study of Marathi Literature at undergraduate level.
