The Department of Political Science has been established in 1991 in the Sharadchandraji Pawar College, Jejuri. The Political Science is being taught since its inception at special and general level. Department is actively involved in promoting political theories, ideologies and activities of well-known thinkers and philosophers by giving emphasis on teaching and research. It is functioning as full-fledged department with the facility of study of political science at undergraduate level.
